Red Rocks

A couple of nights ago the Mormon Tabernacle Choir came to perform at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. We had no intention of going because we could not afford tickets. Luckily we have some awesome friends who had 2 extra tickets and invited us to come with them.
Yes, the big pregnant girl had to have a chair! To get up to the theater there are TONS of stairs. I barely made the climb, but I was glad I did because the concert was amazing.

The view of the choir and the beautiful view of Denver behind the choir.

We had a great time. Thank you to the Rices!

Crazy Weather!!

This morning was a beautiful morning. There were no clouds in the sky and it was nearly 90 degrees. My sister Leah brought her kids to the pool with my mom and I. It was nice to escape the heat.
Within about an hour a bunch of storm clouds came in and it started pouring down rain and then hailing really bad. We have been getting this kind of weather a lot lately. There is crazy hail and tornado warnings. This time I took some pics because it hailed for so long.
It looks like snow, but it is hail. I also heard some of the loudest thunder I have ever heard in my life. Kinda crazy! Signs of the times??

Graduations

This year we had two high school graduates in the family. Anna graduated May 22nd and Scott graduated June 6th. What is funny is that they are both only a week apart in age and they are also both the youngest in the families!

Anna with my parents
Us girls! We were glad that Sarah was able to come even though she had to leave Daniel at home.
Anna and her 2 nieces.
What a beauty!
Only Travis was able to go to Scott's graduation. I wish I could have made it, but the drive would have been too long and the plane was small and really bumpy, so I stayed behind. I think Travis really enjoyed himself!

Scott with Travis and Carrie.
A couple of goofy brothers! Travis came home and said that Scott is really ripped and he needs to start working out so he can be bigger than Scott!! We'll let you know how that goes.

6 months

I am now 6 months along, which means I have a little over 3 months to go! I am getting bigger every day and feel baby girl Makenzie moving quite frequently.

The pregnant belly has appeared

I know people have said they want to see me with a pregnant belly, so here it is. I hate the picture, but I think I will hate them all because I feel so huge. I am about 21 weeks along and everything seems to be going just fine. I am just happy because I have a couple pairs of pants that still fit!!

Well...

It is apparent that my side of the family does not produce boys, and luckily we love girls! We are very excited to have a girl, and we have some good name ideas, but we would like to hear what you think.

I just realized that the words show up a ton of times and I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I guess just deal with it!!

Anna went to prom last Saturday. It was kinda funny because we had a blizzard over the weekend and Anna figured prom was going to be cancelled so she went to work out. At 1pm they were informed that prom was still on. Anna had to get a flower for the boutonniere and rush home to shower and get ready. Luckily, my mom and I helped with her hair and we got her looking gorgeous in no time. (Not like it is hard to get her to look gorgeous!)
Anna showing off her snow boots!
The snow made for some pretty pictures though.

Anna with her date and her best friend Rachel with her date.

Anna and all the girls from the group.

All the guys in the group. Who is that weird kid with the white tux?!

The whole group, not everyone is looking, but it is hard to get 20 people to cooperate.

Leaving for prom in the big limo. Anna and her date were nominated for prom queen and king, they didn't win but they had a fun time.
