This year we went up to Big Bear for a couple days. (It poured rain for 5 days straight and we needed to get out and have some fun.) We had some family there that were renting a cabin for a couple weeks. It was nice to spend some time with family and to get out of the house. The only bad thing was that Mackenzie had a REALLY bad night the first night. Travis and I got about 2 hours of sleep. Basically, being pregnant I am always tired already and when you add no sleep to that, I had a massive head ache and no energy. We ended up playing games and sledding and having a really good time though!
We also got to see one of the houses Travis grew up in! He used to live in Big Bear. It seemed very similar to Montana!
Travis and Mackenzie sledding. It was Mack's first time ever! I am just glad we got to use her super cute coat at least once!
The whole family went down once!
We took Mackenzie to this Winter Wonderland to see Santa. It was a Wednesday night but there was a huge line. Travis took Mack into play while I waited in line. After 2 hours Mackenzie had had enough and was tired so we had to leave. We never got to see
Santa:( Maybe next year.

We have a Yogurtland right by our house and found out that it is really inexpensive and love to go there! Mackenzie is learning to feed herself with a spoon.

Merry Christmas!

I know this is late, but these are some of the pictures we took for Christmas.
I call this her little model pose. I think it would look great in a magazine.
She still has her chubby little cheeks!

Probably Mack's favorite part of the picture taking.
I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and welcomes in a great new year!!

Hanging out at home

We get pretty bored at home so we get creative with what we do to stay busy. Mackenzie likes to sit at this step stool she got and scoot back until she is stuck by a wall! I took this pic because her hair looked extra great that day!
Mackenzie loves to play with the laundry and she really tries to help me fold!
When I really need a break I just open the cabinet with the DVDs and let Mack go crazy. She loves this game. When she is done she helps me put them all back!

I just noticed that in all the pictures her hair is really crazy! We are at that stage where she pulls everything out of her hair! What can you do?

Months...

It has been months since I have posted. A lot has happened so I will just give a quick recap and then start from now on (hopefully)!

Last time I posted we were on a summer job in Virginia. That ended early and we ended up moving back in with my parents. We were with them for 2 months when Travis got a job and we moved to Mission Viejo, California. It is beautiful here and we have a great ward. So far everything is going just great!

Mackenzie started walking at about 9 1/2 months old. She turned one. She has 8 teeth. She is the busiest baby I have ever seen, I we get told that too. She can climb on everything in the house and she is practically running.

She does not understand yet, but I think she is excited to be a big sister! Yes, I am pregnant, and once again miserable. I am due the end of June. I am glad to be getting it over with and to have my kids close in age!

A day at the park

Some one in the ward gave us this toy and Mack loves it! We have an awesome ward out here.
Carrie, Mack and I went to the park yesterday. Mack loved it!
It was a gorgeous day. Just warm and not too humid.
The slide was actually really fun
I think she liked the smaller slide better
We are going to have a little rock climber on our hands. (We can hope any way!)
Mack loves Aunt Carrie
She is going to start crawling any day now

Travelling

I am still having trouble uploading pictures for some reason, but I was able to get some pictures of our trip to VA
We stopped in Iowa and they had this picture you stick your faces in, we had to do it! It says "Stompin' through Minden, IA"

We had some car trouble (as we do on every long trip). This is Mack and I in the waiting room.
Poor baby lived in the car seat for a week. Luckily she did not seem to mind much, she is the best traveller ever!!
In Indiana we stopped to have a milk shake. That is when we discovered that Mack can drink through a straw!!

I can't blame her, it was a really good milk shake!
We are in Virginia now. It is beautiful and full of trees. We are just getting used to our surroundings and Travis is working Late evenings installing security systems. Hopefully more pictures will come. We just need to get our computer fixed.

Yah, pictures...

My computer randomly let me upload pictures today. So here are some updates. The picture above is Mack on our trip to Colorado a couple of weeks ago. She is getting used to travelling and does very well. Luckily, because we have a very long trip to Virginia next week.
We are moving to Virginia for 5-6 months to install security systems.
Mack loves her walker/toy.

She just looks so small in this high chair, it cracks me up
A week or 2 ago Mack started rolling over in her crib. She gets herself stuck in the strangest positions.
Dancing with Daddy
Mack smiles all the time and we can get her to giggle pretty easily. It is so much fun!
She wanted the camera so bad! It turned out to be a cute pic

Such a happy girl, super cute outfit!!

This is a pic that did not turn out that I cannot figure out how to delete of this post, so sorry.

My computer is being stupid and I cannot upload any pictures without my computer freezing up and kicking me off the Internet. So sorry. I will just have to give you a quick update.
A couple weeks ago we went to Colorado for Travis to have an interview. We did not get the job, so sad...so we are leaving Montana on April 2nd and heading out to Virginia to install security systems with a small group of people. It is a long trip, but we are going to make the best of it. It should be a fun adventure. We will be there for 4-6 months.
Mack is almost 6 months. She rolls over and can almost sit on her own. She still wakes up through out the night but she is super cute. She smiles a lot and we can get her giggling pretty easily!
I have a new niece as of yesterday! Yah, 7 nieces 1 nephew!! We love girls.

Hopefully pictures coming soon.

Rice Cereal

Myth: Rice cereal sustains a baby longer than just formula or breast milk

Truth: It actually sustains them less.

Last night I gave Mack rice cereal and she actually had a few bites and liked it. She also had 6 oz of formula on top of that. You would think she was down for the night. Not true, she woke up earlier than she has in over a month absolutely starving. I did not think she could possibly be hungry so I am trying to find tylenol or gripe water in the dark. I decided to see if she was hungry and she was. I had to make 2 bottles because she sucked the first one dry.
My baby is the one that is out to prove everything wrong. She will not go on a schedule. She can last 10 hours on 2 oz formula and then she will only last 2 hours on 8 oz. There is no figuring her out and she won't let me. I challenge "super mom" to get this child on a schedule!!

I do love my daughter very much, she just gave me an awful night last night.

Our Little Valentine

We got some really cute pictures of Mack yesterday so we thought we would just post some!
She is smiling so big at her Dad who can usually always get her to smile.

I just love her big eyes
And those chubby cheeks!

Isn't the bib so true!!
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! Yesterday I made Travis breakfast and took him out to a movie and then he took me out to eat and gave me a neck massage. It was a good day for us. Today I am trying out a new recipe for dinner, so wish me luck!!

For Mom

This last month we have been quite busy and I have slacked on taking pictures and staying updated. We moved to Montana and live in a trailer next to Travis' grandparents. It has taken a long time to move in while watching a baby, but we are getting settled just fine. The fun thing about living in Montana is that we don't have to pay sales tax!
This last week Carrie (Travis' youngest sister got married) and we spent the week before in Rigby Idaho having fun with Bridal shower, snowmobiling and hanging out with the family. The wedding was great and Carrie looked beautiful and they are a happy couple!
That is just a short update for now and here are some pics because my mom is missing Mack!
She is 4 months old now and just tall and thin. She is 26 inches long and 13 pounds.

She is not looking at the camera she is actually zeroed in on the computer.

Belated Christmas 2009

We had a fun and busy Christmas. All my sisters were in town and we had a fun time just hanging out.
Mack already has so many things so she got one present this year. Her Bumbo, which she loves.

The wrapping paper was more interesting than most anything. Any why wouldn't it be?!
Sarah got this basket for her beach cruiser bike. Mack just looked really cute in it.
Mack had a couple outfit changes because she has so many cute Christmas clothes. The reindeer outfit is from our neighbor.

I never go a Christmas without making a gingerbread house. My sisters and I had so much fun decorating our houses. Leah and Sarah are the really detailed creative ones and Anna and I are the impatient ones so our houses all turned out quite different.Leah's had a big Y on the roof for BYU--of course.
Anna's had a mouse out front!!

Sarah actually took the time to cover the roof in pretzel sticks. It turned out looking really cool.

Mine had Rudolph on the roof!

Overall we had a great Christmas, I hope all of you did as well.
