Suns Games

For those of you who are not up on the Phoenix Suns news I will tell you that they traded Marion and Banks for Shaq. Sad to lose Marion, but they seem to think that Shaq can help out the team. So weird. The Suns are still doing awesome and we like to get together to watch the games.

We are the only ones in the group with cable, so everyone likes to come to our house to watch the Suns games. The girls really enjoy it as long as they have their cups and some popcorn!

The guys get hooked to the screen for the game, except Brendan who seems to be pretty attached to his phone. Like so many others, he has been hit with the texting virus.

Fun with Alyssa

Now that we are back in Rexburg we don't ever get to see our nieces in Colorado, but we have spent a lot of time hanging out with Alyssa. We have captured some great moments on camera!
She seems to really like that chili on rice!
Alyssa found Grandpa's razor and decided that she wanted to help him shave!

Some one is really pround of the mess she made for dinner!

It's been too long

It has been a really long time since we last blogged. A lot has happened. We started school, I got a job at Taco Bell and Travis got a second job with the Pepsi Cola Company. We found a car that we love. A Jeep Grand Cherokee! The pictures are below. We got it just in time for the most snow and coldest winter I have ever experienced here in Rexburg. The snow seems to never end, but just this week we saw the sun! Life is kinda crazy, but hopefully things die down a little after midterms next week!

Happy Anniversary!

You can listen to our stories and decide which anniversary was more fun! On December 29th 2007 we celebrated our 2nd anniversary. We had everything planned out. We were going to go to Salt Lake and see Temple Square and eat at a nice restaurant and we had a hotel already reserved for us, then we would head back to Rexburg in the morning.
What really happened was, we got stuck in Echo Canyon at a Weigh Station because our car wasn't working properly and we had to get towed to a small town called Coalville. The town has one restaurant, Dairy Queen, and it closed at 8pm just before we got there. We ended up eating frozen burritos from the gas station next door to the hotel. Then we got towed to Ogden in the morning where we spent 6 hours at Pep Boys while they tried to figure out what was wrong with our car. Once we finally got back to Rexburg our car broke down again and we have had to get rides from everyone this whole last week. We are out a couple thousand dollars and a car.
If any one knows a good deal on a nice car, let us know!!

Now you can compare that year to our first year anniversary. We stayed in a really nice hotel in the beautiful mountains of Montana and we went skiing for the whole day and had a blast. The weather was great and I learned to ski for the first time and found that I really enjoy it. We haven't gone skiing since then, due to the cost, but we are planning to go again soon!

It really didn't matter what we did, we enjoyed spending time together and we have had a WONDERFUL two years!!!!

Although, next year, breaking down is not in the plans!

CHRISTMAS!!!

We had a great Christmas this year and enjoyed spending time with family. Audrey was so much fun and happy all day so I started the blog out with her cute picture. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope you all know we love you.

For Christmas this year we read the Christmas story and we sang hymns together. It was nice, even though it is hard to pay attention with Brianna around because she is so funny.

Every time we finished a song Brianna would say, "Okay! Let's open presents!"

Brianna sat down at the music stand and pretended she was directing us.

We got a very white Christmas this year and we all bundled up and went sledding! I think Brianna was the warmest in her puffy pink outfit.

Sledding was a blast with everyone. We went to the Elementary school playground and sledded down the hill. Then we took the sled and went down the slides on it! Brianna ate snow the whole time and entertained us the whole time.

Travis shovelled the drive way at the end of the day and Brianna had to help so she put her coat over her pajamas and helped until she got her pajamas wet and got in big trouble.

Sad to Leave the Nursery

Sunday, December 23rd was our last day of nursery. We had so much fun and are sad to leave these super cute kids behind. Many of them were already gone for the holiday but just check out how cute some of the kids we had!!

This one fell asleep every time. That's what happens when nursery is during nap time!

Super cute, hard to crack a smile though!

Sledding!!

We have had the best snow to go sledding! Travis and I had not been sledding in years so we went. The hill is a lot bigger than it looks.

Walking up the hill a few times gets to be a workout!

Travis raced a little kid down the hill and got totally wooped! Then we heard the kid telling his dad, "I beat this high schooler down the hill, it was awesome!"

We had so much fun, we wish that everyone could be out there with us!
