Castlewood Canyon

This last weekend Travis' grandparents stopped by to visit us on their way through back up to Montana. We took them out to see the sights of Colorado. In my case, we were blessed with a cooler day and went on a small hike to Castlewood Canyon.
Don't ask how I got up there being 9 months pregnant but I did!

What a cute little family! Grandma, Grandpa and Ginger.
Travis just likes to take random pictures of me and he also got an action shot that you can see below.

Yes, more pics of me.

I am 37 weeks along and quite large. I am ready to pop any time.

We had a ton of fun and really enjoyed spending the short time we had with the grandparents. We love you guys, thanks for coming to see us!!!

Back to Work!

After a nice relaxing summer break I went back to work at my day care. I am just helping out part time until I deliver. I am loving it because, as you can see, I work with some super cute little babies and because it takes some of my mind off being pregnant.
The little one in the front and the one at the top makes me think of Travis and what our boy would look like if we had one! These babies are very good boys and very cute!

These pictures are of my class from last year. They have grown so much and they remember me which makes me feel so special! I so wish I could stay on after I deliver and be their full time teacher, but I can't so I am enjoying the time I have.
Check out that surfer boy!
These kids are so much fun and they have hilarious little personalities!

Baby Shower

My 2 friends, Tori and Barb, put on a really awesome baby shower for me. They had tons of good food and a great turn out. I felt very loved with all the people who came and thought of me and baby Mak!

Everything was kinda busy, but my sister Leah was able to get a few pictures for me.

Something about babies makes everyone happy!!
The pictures are a little delayed because Leah is used to her really high tech super awesome camera and ours is delayed and just does the job. But my Mom's expressions are kinda fun!
Thank you Barb and Tori and everyone who was able to come and for all the wonderful gifts!!

Mini Golf

Travis and I had a really fun day this last Saturday. We went out to breakfast (which we never do), we used our movie pass and went to see the new G.I. Joe movies (I liked it), and then we played mini golf.
We haven't played mini golf in ages and decided it was time. Plus, we found a course that was a really good price!

Travis got pretty into it! I just wanted a picture of the water fall behind him!!

Of course Travis had to take a picture of me taking a break. When you are 33 weeks pregnant you need a break! Plus, we had this older couple in front of us that we had to wait for. It was so funny to watch them because they were totally on a date and flirting like crazy. They would even stop in between holes sometimes and make out!

You can't see the names on the score card but I am the score on the bottom. If you can't see, I WON!! I don't win at much with Travis so I get excited the few times I do win!

32 weeks

If you look back at my older months you can see how much bigger I have gotten, it is so weird. Right now I have just under 2 months to go!! It has been hot and the pool has been a life saver. Otherwise, I really have been doing okay.

DOGS...

Sorry to all you dog and animal lovers, I just never grew up with them so I am still quite apprehensive about them. Right now Travis and I are dog sitting this dog for about 10 days. The other day I decided I would do a service and take the dog on my walk with me. Within minutes the dog pooped a massive amount, it is probably still there because I was not about to clean it up. I am quite pregnant and could not walk as fast as the dog wanted to so I was really sore by the end of the walk. We got into a couple tiffs with other dogs on the path. And this dog refused to walk on the right side of the trail, so I felt like an idiot walking on the wrong side of the path. Oh, I thought pregnant women peed a lot, well, dogs trump all with their need to mark their territory EVERY 5 MINUTES. Well, basically you couldn't pay me enough to be a dog walker. The next day Travis took the dog for run!!

I can't believe I am 24!!

I had a fabulous birthday this year. Normally Travis and I do something really fun, but with me being 32 weeks pregnant there weren't many things I could do. For my birthday I spent a couple hours at the pool just laying out, swimming and reading (it was great!).
Then, Travis took me to Maggiano's--a great Italian restaurant. He spent a long time trying to figure out where to go and what to do, it was so sweet. It is hard when I love all food all the time. But he came to the conclusion that I really like Italian and he hit it spot on. I had this plate of lobster ravioli (if you ever go you should order that!).
After eating it was still very hot outside and we both decided to go any where that had air conditioning! We love to browse books and music, so we went to good old Barnes and Noble. We listened to music and browsed. Probably boring for some, but it was just fine with me!

For dessert I chose Dairy Queen, because you can never go wrong with ice cream! Travis got the dipped cone. It is funny because, as it might be the case with you, when we were kids we were only allowed to get the dipped cone. They used to me like 59 cents. Now they are almost 2 dollars!!! Crazy. (By the way, if any one knows how it all works with the dipping and the ice cream not melting let me know!)
I got a blizzard which didn't turn out the way I expected. I once had strawberry shortcake ice cream with Reese's in it so that is what I thought I ordered. But there are little cheesecake and strawberry chunks in the blizzard so it just turned out to be a peanut butter and jelly blizzard. Not bad, but not what I really wanted. Oh well!
Not a very active birthday, but wonderful. Later I just got to relax in a big bubble bath! Thank you to Travis for just being so much fun to be with no matter what we do and really working hard to figure out just what I wanted to do.
